PrimeMC: Allowed Modifications
Self-made and community modifications have seen a significant increase in popularity over the last couple of years - and with the wide variety of options, there is often much confusion as to what is allowed on our gaming network and what is not. This document aims to cover the usage of modifications on Prime Network, and how they may affect your time on the server.

In short, modifications that give you an unfair advantage over other players are generally prohibited. However, we encourage you to go through the list below to find out specifically what’s allowed and what’s not. It speaks for itself that hacked clients are an absolute no-go.

Our list changes frequently, so it is recommended that you check this post regularly.

Part A: Chat Modifications
Chat modifications allow you to help filter out undesired messages from your screen, as chat can become overall cluttery at times. These types of modifications are allowed, however please note that important server alerts, including messages from staff, cannot be filtered out.
Examples: TabbyChat, Clean Chat, Chat Companion

Part B: Status HUD Modifications
Status HUD modifications (otherwise known as “Head-up displays”) allow you to see more information on your gameplay screen, such as armor status, coordinates, or item durability. Modifications that provide additional info about another player’s character are not allowed.
Examples: 5zig, SimpleMods, bspkrs’ mods

Part C: Performance Modifications
Performance modifications allow you to help increase the client’s gameplay performance, and generally up your FPS by disabling/optimising visuals. These types of modifications are allowed.
Examples: Optifine, BetterFPS

Part D: Sneak/Sprint Toggle Modifications
Sneak/Sprint toggle modifications allow you to setup macros on your keyboard that toggle sneak or sprint indefinitely. These types of modifications are allowed, given that they do not interfere with anything related to speed.
Examples: ToggleSneak, BetterSprint

Part E: Character Modifications
Character modifications allow you to make changes to the way a character looks on your side of the screen. These options can range from capes to cosmetics and are allowed on our network.
Examples: LabyMod, 5zig

Part F: Visual Modifications
Visual modifications allow you to make changes to Minecraft visuals, and are often also referred to as “Shaders”. Shaders add more animations, shades and high definition textures to your game. These types of mods are allowed, given that they do not make blocks transparent (This is a common bug with certain incompatibilities between your graphics card and a type of shader).
Examples: Shaders Mod

Part G: Export Modifications
Export modifications allow you to “export” certain parts of the online game to your own computer, often referred to as World Downloaders, or mods that creates schematic files. These types of modifications are allowed, and we urge players to be aware of this while building.
Examples: World Downloader Mod

Part H: Ghost Image Modifications
Ghost Image modifications allow you to display the visual copy of a build from a schematic file on your computer. These types of mods are allowed, and aim to support the process of building structures on the server.
Examples: Schematica (The “printer” option is NOT allowed)

Part I: Minimap Modifications
Minimap modifications allow you to easily visualise the area around you, and often include features to set waypoints of important locations on the server. These modifications are allowed, given they do not track players, entities or monsters.
Examples: Rei’s Minimap, Zan’s Minimap

Part J: Recorder Modifications
Recorder modifications allow you to record your time on our server, and are fully allowed given that they record from your own player’s perspective, and not those of others.
Examples: Replay Mod

Part K: Mechanics Modifications
Mechanics modifications allow you to help speed up certain gameplay mechanics, and only by providing crafting recipes, or sorting your inventory and chests. These types of modifications are allowed, given they do not automatically fill your inventory.
Examples: Inventory Tweaks, AutoCraft, Auto Brewing Mod

Part L: Furniture Modifications
Furniture modifications allow you to place and show custom furniture items that can only be seen on your side of the screen. As furniture modifications do not impact the server in any way whatsoever, these types of modifications are allowed.
Examples: MrCrayfish’s Furniture Mod
